Who we are

Run The Bench is operated by EP Digital Pty Ltd in Western Australia, Australia. You can contact us at support@runthebench.app.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide and improve Run The Bench, including:

• Account details such as your email address, phone number, authentication provider, and subscription tier.
• Team and player information entered by coaches, such as team names, player names, jersey numbers, positions, strengths, minute settings, and team logos.
• Fixture, match setting, game session, substitution history, and post-game insight information.
• Support messages and waitlist emails you send or submit to us.
• App usage and performance information that helps us understand reliability and feature usage.

Youth team and player information

Run The Bench may be used for junior, school, and youth basketball teams. Coaches and organisations are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority, permission, or consent from a parent, guardian, school, club, association, or player where applicable to enter and manage player information in the app.

Please only enter information reasonably needed for basketball team management and avoid unnecessary sensitive information in notes or free-text fields.

Authentication, app data, and local storage

Run The Bench supports sign-in through providers such as Google, Apple on iOS, and phone OTP. Authentication and cloud app data are handled through Supabase. The app also stores some data locally on your device so it can support fast game-day workflows and continue to work when a connection is patchy.

Local app data may include session state, teams, players, settings, active game state, and sync queues. Removing the app from your device may remove local data from that device, but account-linked cloud data may remain unless you delete your account.

Uploaded team logos

If you upload a team logo, it may be stored in public storage and accessible to anyone with the file URL. Do not upload logos or images unless you have permission to use them.

Analytics

We use product analytics to improve Run The Bench. Our analytics rules are designed to avoid sending personal or sensitive basketball data. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, team IDs, player IDs, jersey numbers, opponent names, notes, or free text to analytics tools.

Website waitlist, cookies, and tracking

The website waitlist form collects your email address, platform interest, consent timestamp, and related pilot status fields so we can send pilot, launch, and product updates you asked to receive. We may use Supabase to store waitlist signups and Cloudflare anti-spam checks such as Turnstile to protect the form. The website is not currently using tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy should be updated before those tools are enabled.

Payments and subscriptions

Run The Bench may offer subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments are handled by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat. EP Digital Pty Ltd does not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive subscription status, purchase status, renewal status, and related metadata needed to manage app access.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create and manage accounts;
• provide team, player, fixture, substitution, game history, and insight features;
• sync data where supported;
• manage subscriptions and feature access;
• provide support and respond to privacy or deletion requests;
• maintain security, reliability, and app performance;
• send waitlist or launch updates if you asked to receive them; and
• comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and storage locations

We use reputable service providers to operate Run The Bench, including providers for authentication, database hosting, storage, analytics, subscriptions, app distribution, and optional notifications. These providers may process or store data outside Australia.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate Run The Bench, with payment and app store platforms, where required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Data retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Run The Bench, support users, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. If you request account deletion, we aim to delete or de-identify account-linked app data within approximately 30 days after verification unless limited retention is required for legal, billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security reasons.

See the Delete Account page for instructions. Deleting your Run The Bench account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Access and correction

You can ask us to access, correct, explain, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing support@runthebench.app. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Run The Bench develops. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users through the app, website, or email.
